Tasting

Nose

On the nose herbal with fresh mint, plus vanilla and shortbread. Cereal-malty notes meet apple and orchard hints. Overall a classic, mild Speysider with a clear, delicate focus.

Palate

On the palate there is clearly oak, carried by lots of honey. The impression remains mild, herbal and creamy, accompanied by a fruit basket of fruit. Compared to the Tormore 10 years Blueprint Bourbon Barrel it feels completely different and stages the basic character differently.

Finish

The finish is strong and spicy, with lots of mint. Despite the spice there remains a lightness, plus a hint of cocoa.

Verdicts

Marcel

An uncomplicated, classic Speysider that comes across very straight forward. Unexcited, but not in a negative sense: herbs, mint and honey sit cleanly, the oak gives structure. Anyone looking for a mild, delicate malt without detours will find exactly that here.

Sascha

It feels almost designed through: mild, round and self-contained. Especially compared to the Tormore 10 years Blueprint Bourbon Barrel this works very well because the basic character is clearly worked out. Overall a good series that makes you curious about what’s to come.

What it is worth

We do not yet hold bottle-level auction results — that sits behind Whisky Hunter’s authenticated feed. What follows is the market for Tormore as a whole, which sets the weather for this bottling without pricing it.
