Tasting

Nose

The first impression reveals a fascinating mixture of light smoke, cold ash, fresh citrus fruit and green apple, followed by a hint of white chocolate. With time in the glass, floral notes - perhaps acacia blossom - unfold, accompanied by a light spiciness reminiscent of freshly ground white pepper. This aroma combines classic Lowland elegance with subtle surprises.

Palate

On the palate, the whisky has a silky texture that is supported by the high alcohol strength. Ripe pears, apricot jam and a hint of mandarin zest open the flavour profile paired with subtle yet perceptible smoke. Spicy accents of cinnamon and nutmeg soon follow, providing a warm contrast to the fruity sweetness. A light note of almond biscuits and toffee rounds off the impression.

Finish

The finish is medium-long and dry. Oak spice and vanilla linger on the palate, accompanied by a pleasant bitterness reminiscent of cocoa nibs. A slight aftertaste of green tea lends additional sophistication.
