Glenmorangie 10 Years

Glenmorangie 10 Years is one of the best-selling single malts in Scotland and is now available in a wide variety of editions, such as the giraffe edition. This is supposed to stand for the particularly high stills of the distillery located in the Highlands. The malt was matured in first and refill bourbon casks, which Glenmorangie fills no more than twice. The soft character of the single malt whisky is supported by the 8-metre-high stills.

Tasting

Nose

Vanilla, fruity, fresh. Very summery and soft, we smell light fruits, a little nut. A very clear vanilla note hovers over everything. A very clear aroma profile that is pursued here. "You know what this reminds me of? Jam." / "No, it's clearly jelly to me!" So much for that.

Palate

The taste is also quite clearly defined. We think of almonds, apricot, cotton candy. Sweetish malty and very soft, mild flavors make us think of summer.

Finish

Medium length says goodbye to a slight oakiness in combination with white wine.

Verdicts

Marcel

A whisky that’s simply fun with its sweet vanilla and fruity character – perfect for relaxed summer evenings. Not too complicated, but precisely because of that, very approachable and pleasant to drink. For just under 35 euros, you get a solid malt that fits perfectly into any collection.

Sascha

The Glenmorangie 10 Year impresses with a clearly structured aroma profile and a balanced interplay between sweet bourbon notes and subtle oakiness. Its gentle texture and medium-length finish reveal an elegant maturation, making it a reliable Highland standard. For beginners and enthusiasts who appreciate clarity and finesse, it’s an affordable recommendation.
