Glenfiddich 12 Years

The Glenfiddich 12 year is perhaps the best known classic and Scotch for beginners. However, there are also alternatives in this price range.A golden stag proudly presents its antlers on the bottle. In dark green and gold, the bottle and outer packaging look very noble. A successful and harmonious design.

Tasting

Nose

Sweetly, the Scotch reminds us of bright fruits, such as ripe pears and apples. A hint of honey is perceptible in the background. Like the bottle - an elegantly balanced composition.

Palate

Not too complex and rather straightforward, we taste mild and balanced fresh fruits. A light honey aroma also crystallises.

Finish

Very briefly, a little oak and a slight bitterness remain.

Verdicts

Marcel

A mild, straightforward pleasure that scores with fruity notes and a hint of honey – perfect for cozy evenings without any fuss. Those looking for a relaxed introduction to the world of single malts won’t be disappointed here, even if the Glenfiddich 12 Year doesn’t hold any surprises.

Sascha

The Glenfiddich 12 Year impresses with a clear, balanced structure featuring subtle fruity sweetness and gentle honey tones, yet it remains somewhat shallow and short on the finish. It offers a solid, well-balanced foundation for beginners, but connoisseurs will likely crave more complexity and depth.

What it is worth

We do not yet hold bottle-level auction results — that sits behind Whisky Hunter’s authenticated feed. What follows is the market for Glenfiddich as a whole, which sets the weather for this bottling without pricing it.
