Tasting

Nose

Exotic fruits dominate the nose - first and foremost a juicy pineapple, which immediately conjures up a holiday mood. Coconut flakes join in and enhance the tropical feeling even further. But that's just the beginning: vanilla - and lots of it - envelops the fruit flavours like a warm summer breeze. Flat peach and mango complete the exotic bouquet, while sugar syrup provides a seductive sweetness. As a fresh counterpoint, grapefruit makes its presence felt and lends the whole a revitalising citrus note. This nose is pure summer poetry - fresh, lively and irresistibly inviting.

Palate

The tropical journey continues on the palate, but takes an interesting turn. The creamy mouthfeel envelops the taste buds like silk before white pepper provides a pleasant spiciness. This shows that this whisky is more than just a fruity summer drink. It then becomes extremely flavoursome - the vanilla returns, this time accompanied by striking oak, which lends structure and depth to the whole. A juicy pear rounds off the flavour experience and provides a wonderful balance between sweetness and spice.

Finish

The finish is of medium length and develops wonderfully round. The beautifully fruity-sweet notes return, but now accompanied by pleasant tannins that give the whisky an elegant structure. It becomes astringent - a sign of the quality of the casks used. Particularly impressive: for a non-peated whisky, the finish is really very long and leaves an impression like milk after frothing with a drop of coffee - creamy, soft and with a hint of roasted flavours.
